They had just pulled up when he got that last text, shuffling his phone around in his pocket while Lust escorted herself out of the car. He hoped she would find something to tickle her fancy long enough to find Zoe. He was tip-toeing a line of fire, but Greed didn't back down. At this brief moment he wanted Zoe more than Lust---and until Lust was herself again his attention was elsewhere.
You're not outside. Where are you?
--------
Lust didn't care about Greed right now, this place was dripping with Sin and she wanted to get her hands on it. In her red dress she looked fantastic and didn't let the lack of a ticket or her Sin stop her from going in. She looked like she belonged, she looked like she owned the place and she would slaughter anyone that would get in her way. She had a few eyes on her when she got inside but not nearly the amount she was used to. She picked a guy at random. "You." she grabbed him by his expensive tie. "Come with me." she looked at the guy next to him whose jaw was on the floor. Lust grinned, "Bring your friend." and she pulled on the tie like it was a leash. She was starving.
Zoe had gotten Greed's text but chose to ignore it. The one good thing was it felt like half the population of Manhattan was here so it was easy to get lost in the crowd. Zoe waved at Ray to get her attention since shouting wouldn't do any good. She pointed at the exit indicating she'd like to go.
--------
It was hard to stick together, they were practically sardines in a can ready to split at the seems.
Greed stood outside greeting a going couple as they slid inside. He popped on a smile, gave the girl a wink as he slipped his hands on her boyfriends wallet. He was thinning through the cash and plastic when he looked at his phone.
It was silent.
Zoe should be popping out of this joint because it was a powerhouse about to explode.
I want to see you.
She was taking too long, he was growing impatient.
-------
Zoe looked at the text and ignored it again making her way through the crowd to get Raiden, she put her hand on the girl's arm, "Ray! Are you ready to go?" was Greed here already? They had to have a back exit out of this place, wasn't that... fire regulations or something? She'd tell him in the morning that her phone hadn't been in her hand so she couldn't hear it or feel it buzz and she and Raiden had already left. Lots of people, easy to miss each other.
--------
When his next message went unanswered Greed slammed the phone into his pocket with a growl. It was about then that a few underage girls wobbled their way out the back entrance. Greed craned his neck seeing a few more pop out.
He slipped down the alley to maneuver in another way. Finding her through the main entrance was going to go as well as pulling weeds from a garden. With a mass this big he'd never find what he was looking for.
Shades still perched he scanned the floor. She was bound to be nearing the exit. When he caught sight of her pretty little friend on the dance floor mouthing that she couldn't hear what was being said, it meant--
There you are.
Raiden was about to head off the floor, but she saw Greed as he approached Zoe, and she gave Zoe a smile.
"I thought you were leaving?" Greed said, putting his hands on her waist.
--------
Zoe was trying to mime to Raiden that they should go and then frowned wondering why all of a sudden she was smiling. Zoe jumped a mile when she felt Greed's hands on her waist. Whether it was because it was him or it was just someone touching her or maybe a combination of the two. She felt like she got caught sneaking out even though she couldn't hear his words. Well... now what?
--------
She didn't move or say anything. He rested his chin on her shoulder, his arms shaking around her as of to tell all the others looking she wasn't theirs to play with. Raiden was obscured from their view when more started to head to the floor, drunk mostly. Greed used the opportunity to lead her somewhere more quiet. Right back out the exit. At least until Lust came looking for him.
"I thought you were leaving?" He twirled her around in a few dance steps.
