"You were big news, everyone had at least heard something," he said. "But reading about everything after it happened, you deserved it. The epithet says it all, I think." He grinned. "Well, thank you. It was pretty much a trial by fire my first time, I was 16. Thankfully things got better from there."
"And round and round, same old story," he agreed. "They just keep updating the weapons when I'd only just gotten used to the previous ones. Way of the world, I suppose. And yes, he knows." That thought cheered him, at least he'd have someone to relate to. "Awesome, you can be the human map until I get a real one." He laughed.
"Ah, no," he replied. "Just transferred in. Living out of a suitcase in a hotel, until I can find someplace to lease. Apparently a 'decent view' means it's half an hour away, or incredibly expensive."
