"Shh, it's alright," Piper murmured, looking up at the ceiling to stop herself from crying too. "I know you wouldn't, of course you wouldn't. People say all manner of horrible things that are usually wrong." She reached across the counter to get a napkin for his face, should he want it. "You're a good man, a wonderful man. You gave me and Cassandra a warm place to call home, and you gave me a job that I love. You have a good heart, and anyone who doesn't think so can go hang."
