Although Maia had not met her great granddaughters, they were still of her blood and this important to her. Whatever her son did, she knew it would only be in the best interest of everyone involved. And so she didn't get involved. It wasn't her place, even if she did worry about Hermes. He meant more to her than anything and knowing he was in potential harm made her anxious.
So she had set her hands to work. The power had been restored, the heat back, refrigerator on once more. It was with great relief that she was able to go about sweeping and mopping and dusting. When she had finished the house she had gone to check on the animals, going about feeding and watering them.
When she returned to the house she walked quickly with anticipation, having felt someone arrive. "Yes? I'm here," she said coming up the front steps. She came in behind her son and closed the door to the cold before taking off her scarf and coat. She smiled affectionately at her son, "It's good to see you. What brings you here?"
