Zoe hated this more than when he was being a dick to her. She didn't want him to be kind to her. Even this crude kindness. She just said flatly, "It's fine." when he slapped the ice on her arm, giving him an annoyed look. She didn't look at him as she said quietly, "I don't care about the color.." the bruises would fade and she wouldn't look like some domestic abuse victim, but the memory of what he did, that didn't feel like it'd ever fade.
