Poseidon could sense Amphitrite but he never once cut his eyes over to look at her. He wasn't the most doting of fathers even to those he liked the most. He failed in every aspect when it came to understanding children and how to show affection. He did it through force, but this little one---she giggled at his attention, her own sea-filled eyes in wonder. It was always the girls that vied for his affection.
Leaning down he released her finger, arms rested on the side of the crib, wonderment in his own eyes as he watched her flap her hands around as if she were swimming in invisible waves.
