WHO: Erica & Kat WHEN: Monday 3rd, around 3pm WHERE: Kat's school and then elsewhere! WHAT: Mother/daughter bonding times
Usually Erica was to be found on-site at the Penn Museum where she worked as co-Curator of Ancient Art and translator. There were times, however, when her presence was requested elsewhere in the country as she was considered one of the foremost experts on the ancient languages of the Middle East. This time it was to New York City that she'd come, helping them to translate and then display a new shipment they'd received. She was happy to do so because it meant putting her in the same city as her daughters and giving her spare time with them for a few hours a week.
Picking up Kat from school was something Erica leaped at the opportunity to do, not having done it for so long. Yes, it was university now but it still felt similar. It was before three when Erica found a spot in one of the parking lots, so she sent a text to Kat to let the girl know where she was before opening her book and reading until Kat got out of her class.
