Who: Huitzilopochtli and Mary Magdalene What: You said you were bored so I came to say hello When: Shortly after this conversation [2011-02-17] Where: Mary's workplace Warnings: Mentions of cannibalism at best, mentions of violence, Aztec, Probably language, TBD
Mary had said she was bored, and besides watching the younger followers play their games he wasn't terribly busy. So he had dressed, secured a tin of some heart before leaving the apartment and walking towards where Mary worked.
It wasn't terribly hard to find, and once there he walked to the receptionist and asked for Mary. When he was told to follow he did, wondering why humans put themselves in these cubicle things. He took a seat when he was directed to one and waited, unaware he was drawing eyes, or that his sudden appearance may just be the slightest bit odd.
He really did just think he was being a nice friend.
[info]gospel_of_mary 2011-02-17 10:35 am UTC (link) Track This When the receptionist came to tell Mary 'there's a man here for you' she was a little confused and stood, really hoping it wasn't going to be who she knew it had to be.
And there he was, sitting in an uncomfortable plastic chair. Mary herself was dressed a little more professionally than she usually was, her skirt suit black and well cut and her hair neatly up. "What are you doing here?" she asked him, surprised to say the least. She cast a glance over to where some of the other women were poking their heads around corners to see him.

[info]bluehummingbird 2011-02-17 10:39 am UTC (link) Track This Smiling he rose, wondering why mortals insisted on torturing themselves so. He shrugged at her question, following her gaze and nodding to the women before looking back to her. "You said you were bored and never answered if I should come say hello or not. So I decided to come do it anyway."
He gave the place a curious look, "I would be bored here too. So closed off and uniform." He looked back at Mary, "Should I go?"

[info]gospel_of_mary 2011-02-17 10:42 am UTC (link) Track This Mary turned and didn't want to glare at her co-workers because she was trying to keep her job for now. Instead she took Huitzilopochtli's hand and pulled him towards the little kitchen. "Oh boy," she said, trying not to look to amused. "Those ladies want to eat you alive."

[info]bluehummingbird 2011-02-17 10:49 am UTC (link) Track This He did not mind being pulled along but at her comment he glanced back to the other women, finding no threat within them. Women could be warriors, but these were not. "Not a possibility. When you eat someone they tend to be dead. Nor did they seem threatening to me. I did not come here to fight."

[info]gospel_of_mary 2011-02-17 10:50 am UTC (link) Track This Mary bit her lip so she wouldn't laugh. "Why do I keep using metaphors around you?" she asked herself and then told him, "I meant they're drooling because you're attractive. And we don't get all that many male model looking Gods walking around in here. It'd be a lot more interesting if we did."

[info]bluehummingbird 2011-02-17 10:56 am UTC (link) Track This He shrugged to the question, "I do not know, why do you?" he didn't get them, he figured she would have worked that out by now. "Oh, so they are the ones who are supposed to lick me?" He smirked, "I'm a God I'm allowed to look good, so can I go test this theory of yours?" He was in a somewhat good mood. He felt good enough to joke at least.
"I can go home then and tell my warriors how they should step up their game because these women do not even know me and already want to lick me."

[info]gospel_of_mary 2011-02-17 11:19 am UTC (link) Track This Mary just watched for a little while longer, far more amused than she should be, and then finally walked over to him, wrapping an arm around him, hand sliding across his stomach. "Baby, we've really got to finish the wedding talk." She reached up onto her toes and nibbled gently on Huitzilopochtli's ear, terribly inappropriate but hopefully making at least one of the other ladies jealous. "Sorry, girls, could you just give us a minute here?"
Hands still on him Mary drew Huitzilopochtli back into the room where she then wrapped her arms around him from the front, (cheating and using it as yet another chance to be pressed up against the Aztec), watching the women talking amongst themselves. "You've got some admirers," she chuckled.

He almost wanted to ask what wedding she was talking about, and he'd tried not to be distracted by what she'd done and reminded himself why it would be bad to react, before smiling and nodding. "Yes. I forgot." He smiled at the women, following Mary back into the room.
How did people deal with all that? He blinked as she was pressed close to him and smiled, feeling awkward. He never knew how to react. "So I noticed. I'm not accustomed to such interest." He leaned close, "If I'm to make a show you should tel me what I'm supposed to do."

"I've got my lunch break right about now. You want to get out of here? Food and coffee?"

Strange for a god not to be allowed to have anything, "something about black holes and spontaneous combustion." He walked out of the room, smiling to the other women before walking to the exit.
"What will you tell them, if I do not visit again?"

Her comments made him look at her, "I would not do such a thing. I am loyal." He frowned then smiled to the idea, "A god of birds being fed to birds? Ironic, but I think I will remain the only one eating anyone." He grinned again, "to where?"

[info]bluehummingbird 2011-02-17 12:23 pm UTC (link) Track This He smiled at her as he watched her, "yes. The boy you flirted with was more interested in your chest then your eyes and is trying to decide whether or not to come over here under the guise of forgetting something so he can try and intimidate me." He glanced to the other patrons, "there is a boy sitting a bit farther away trying very hard to catch another's attention while looking at his screen. The two lovers are arguing over a silly matter, and one of them keeps checking his pocket."
He looked to her, "I assume he wishes to soon ask for the other's hand. The other one behind the counter is trying to hide the tears in her eyes, and not succeeding well but too stubborn to ask for aid."

[info]gospel_of_mary 2011-02-17 12:26 pm UTC (link) Track This "You do watch people, don't you," Mary said, her tone quietly impressed with all he'd just said. She'd taken him for someone so much less than he was because he missed her cues, but it seemed he saw plenty. For a long time she was quiet, just watching him. Then she gave him a small smile. "How come you can tell the guy behind the coffee machine wants to fuck me, but you can't tell when women are hitting on you?"

[info]bluehummingbird 2011-02-17 12:34 pm UTC (link) Track This He smiled and watched her. If people assumed less of him he had the advantage. A good warrior knew to appear less then what he was. Smiling he nodded, "I have a lot of time on my hands." He shrugged, "because they use words I am unused to. I read bodylanguage just fine however." He studied her, "I also do not know how to respond. I do not pause because I am unwilling, just..."he trailed off and waved his hand. "Intricacies escape me. I am a violent sun-god. Restraint is not a word I know, so I deny because I do not wish to hurt anyone I care for." He leaned on his arms and smirked, "And it seems your coffee boy has decided to come try and intimidate me."

[info]gospel_of_mary 2011-02-17 12:39 pm UTC (link) Track This I do not pause because I am unwilling. Mary had definitely latched onto those words. Apparently the interest was there it was just a fear that was stopping him. She'd been going to say something to him but then, just as he'd predicted, there came her coffee boy. She wished she was wearing something with better cleavage then her work clothes.
It was sort of cute to watch him try and intimidate Huitzi - Mary had no idea how the God knew the boy would do that - and eventually Mary, instead of giving him her number said, "I'm sorry, I'm really taken," placing her hand on top of Huitzi's and smiling sweetly at the coffee boy.
The boy left and she looked at the Aztec. "You might be too clever for your own good."

[info]bluehummingbird 2011-02-17 12:45 pm UTC (link) Track This He watched the interaction with an amused look in his eyes. The boy was hardly a threat to him, but Mary had said she came here often enough and he did not want to cause trouble for her.
It surprised him though when he was used as an excuse and he watched the boy sulk off before looking to Mary. "Why say that you were taken? The boy had interest." He shrugged then, "I am a a warrior. I have led countless battles, countless wars. I may not get every little social rule mortals invent, but I pride myself on my skills. One of them is that if an opponent thinks less of you, you hold the advantage. I do not go around boasting for this very reason."
He smiled again, "half a battle is wits and instincts." He grinned almost dangerously, "surprised to know the savage has a mind Christian?"

[info]gospel_of_mary 2011-02-17 12:51 pm UTC (link) Track This "The boy had interest," Mary said, her fingers running across his hand, "but I lost mine." No, her interest was definitely elsewhere now. And as her Aztec spoke about leading wars, about his skills and wits, and gave her that dark smile, Mary matched it with a dangerous smile of her own as she leaned forward across the table, closer to him. "I always liked the savages better anyway," she purred.

Smiling he leaned back, letting her have her victory. "Should you get what you want I do not do just flings or casual things. I endure until the end, and ask for the same loyalty I would offer. I would not ask anyone to be different from who they were."

She didn't do relationships though. In all her life there had been exactly one man that she had loved and given herself to completely and that wasn't going to change. Mary's heart still belonged to Jesus.
"You can meet the Christians though," she said, sitting back in her seat and picking up her coffee. "My friends won't really give a shit that you're some war god, although they'll like the heart-eating about as much as I do. As for the Christians I hate, well-" She beamed at him.
