At Helios' suggestion, Rhode had gone to see Benthesikyme, mostly to help her sister settle into her apartment and buy some essentials she still needed. That had taken the better part of three days, but now she was back, her and all of her laundry.
Teddy greeted her at the door, and she knelt down to scratch his ears and coo at him. "Hey little guy," she said, laughing when he rolled over in a clear plea for a belly scratch. "Is your daddy around?" She stood up and called, "Helios? I'm home! Benthesikyme says hello, by the way."
