Zoe was at a loss on how to help him. But she shook her head, she was going about this all wrong. She was thinking of him as a Sin and looking at him now he wasn't. He was a person. Who had suffered a great loss. And while Greed may not be used to it, if there was one thing Zoe was too familiar with it was the grief that came with loss.
His movements were still so rushed and strained and finally when he stopped moving and fiddled with his key ring, Zoe put her hand on the keys to still his movements. He needed to take a moment. To just stop. She looked at him with empathy and put her arms around his neck. She held him because whether he knew it or not, he needed it. It wasn't a mother's embrace at all. It was one of comfort and love. More importantly, it was one of understanding. He didn't need to open a locker to feel something that was his. It was already in his arms.
