Zoe squeezed his hand the second she saw the church doors open. Ava was like an alarm going off so she knew it wouldn't be long before someone would have found her. The crowd was packed around her so tight, fussing over her, you could barely see the baby any more. A small tiny part of her almost wanted Greed to get the baby back. Maybe his natural influence was finally sinking in.. or maybe she enjoyed the illusion of having a slice of a normal life for that short time. They weren't a real family, she'd never have that, with Greed at least. But it had been fun to pretend for awhile.
She kissed Greed's cheek and rested her brow against his temple. There was really nothing she could say to make him feel better, in this one crushing moment she did what she could and that was just be with him.
