WHO: Lilith & Legion
WHEN: Late Sunday night.
WHERE: Some city street
WHAT: Lilith having some noms and then chatting to demons
WARNINGS: Murder, cannibalism, and then whatever else Legion brings to the mix.

By her own moral guide, Lilith rarely harmed women. The way that the fringes of feminism had embraced her as a symbol meant that she'd grown protective over them all - Eve may have been considered the mother of mankind, but Lilith felt like she was the mother of women. Maybe she'd let Eve had the weak ones, the subservient ones. That was, unless Lilith could make them grow a backbone, which she'd dearly love to do. Her idea of paradise was an army of womankind and men broken and bleeding at their feet, existing only for Lilith's pleasure.

But still Lilith was a demon and some things were ingrained: like her hunger for new mothers. She'd passed Lilith in the street and the succubus had caught that scent in the air. Maybe a month or two old, this one's baby must have been. She could follow her home and kill the baby, but it was the mother that made Lilith's mouth water.

So she followed the woman and dragged her into a dark alley, slitting her throat open with her fingernails and pressing her into the brick-walled building as she drank deeply. Her teeth tore at the flesh and she swallowed, feeling that hunger once again recede. These feedings weren't often, but Lilith needed them.

Lilith hefted the dead weight with a groan and shoved her into a dumpster after using the woman's shirt to wipe the blood off her face and hands.

Then she was back out on the street as though nothing had happened. She felt the presence now that she'd been too distracted to notice before - demons, nearby. With purpose she made her way through the crowds until she spotted the blonde-haired woman, the source of the mental cacophany.

"Hello, Legion."

Legion was fond of Christmas. Out of the very few things they all agreed on, Christmas was one of the things that was deemed liked by all. Not a single one of them tried figuring out why, because some enjoyed the sounds, the others the smells, the others the lights and so on, but they often stood in the middle of streets to watch the displays.

When they felt the other presence of Hell their hackles raised. Legion wasn't fond of other demons, and that lessened the higher ranking they went. Only two may be able to truly send them to Hell, but that didn't mean the others couldn't make life hell for them.

That, and they weren't part of the whole.

Knowing running would be pointless they just waited. When they saw Lilith, their mood did not improve much. the Hell-Kings little bicycle often thought she was entitled to telling demons what to do.

But they knew how to play nice. Sort of. They tilted their head and watched. "Hello." No need to hide the multitude of voices that all spoke at once now. The few mortals around scattered to the wind, but Legion didn't care. "What do you want?"

Just noticed that I failed on filling out that header bit...

Legion was a strange group, all packed into a meat-sack as they were. Difficult to predict, just like any group could be.

"I was in the area," Lilith said, watching them. "I felt the presence of demons. One can hardly blame me for my curiosity."

"Yes. We can." Curiosity was rarely a good thing amongst demons. It meant they'd found something that peeked their interest, and were trying to figure out how they could use it.

Legion knew this, because they would do the same thing. They just didn't like being used.

They turned so Lilith was no longer at their back and set their hands in the pockets of their coat. "You smell of blood."

Lilith just shrugged then. She didn't really care what a bunch of demons thought of her. "I actually expect to find some of the lesser demons, not you."

She wondered, when Legion said it, if she smelled of blood to everyone or just them. She rather hoped it was the second one. She didn't feel like attracting that sort of attention. "I just had dinner," Lilith said and then smiled, not very nicely.

"How nice for you." Legion was never very impressed by the higher ranking demons. Every one of them felt like they were owed something, usually alliances. And Legion considered themselves free spirits.

They shifted their stance, because despite considering themselves free they knew better then to leave before a higher ranking demon got bored of them. So they just watched and waited. Either Lilith wanted something, or she didn't. Legion never cared too much for making small talk.

It was somewhat entertaining to note how much Legion wanted to leave. There may have been a hundred voices in that head, but Lilith was fairly sure every single one of them wanted to get out of there.

So instead of allowing Legion to leave, Lilith continued. "I hope to hear that you've all been working hard, on whatever duty it is you people are expected to do." Lilith didn't pay much attention to the demons unless they were fucking up. She left that sort of thing to Satan.

Legion rolled it's eyes behind it's shades and shifted it's stance. Of course Lilith would want to pretend in having a conversation. Unlike many of it's cohorts Legion didn't belong to anyone, so everyone assumed they could get something out of them.

They shrugged to the comment, "we don't have duties. We watch Saints whenever the Kings figure out we're still here but we wander and watch. No more. No less."

"Saints?" Lilith asked, growing slightly more interested at that. Those little saints thought they were such paragons. Lilith thought half of them were more sinful than she'd ever be. "And which saints would those be?"

"Saint Leprechaun, mostly." They shrugged and walked to the display. They could at least look at the lights. "When they remember, anyway. We haven't been told to go there for some time. Makes no difference to us. We like being left alone."
