Hemera was glad he relax the situation a little and took a seat beside him. She felt like this was going to be a serious conversation, but didn't mind. Listening to others and their concerns --and possibly even helping them-- made her feel good.
The girl listened attentively to what Charles said and it made her sad. She missed her family as well, but contrary to his family, hers was still present for the most part. It seemed like it took Charles a lot of courage to speak and Hemera placed her hand over his, hoping this would make it easier for Charles to open up.
"Which things are you talking about, if you don't mind me asking?" She'd read one of his most popular books, but Hemera knew only little of his private life. However, she knew how he felt. "Yes, I do feel like that sometimes. But it gets better, I promise." She wasn't somebody to tell lies. "Maybe you just need a friend you can open up to?"
