That surprised her a little. She'd honestly thought Anthony had just drowned himself in work. She'd even planned to go out again. There was still that connection with him though, how utterly at peace she was around him, and how he made her feel.
"Well, if it came to that." She glanced into the house before stepping back. "come out of the cold." She wasn't mean enough to let him suffer in the post storm cold that the city was going under. "I honestly thought you didn't want to try this anymore, until your letter came. I've told you before I understand your purpose Anthony, but I can't keep waiting on you."
She sighed, "and it kills me because you're the nicest thing to ever happen to me, and I really want this to work but I can't keep being the only one to try. You know I can't keep giving you chances, right?"
