Persephone's breath caught in her throat and then she bit her lip and ran to pull the door open.
Hades was standing there, and it had been months since she had seen him. Her stomach knotted in fear, but she knew it was just a reflex reaction. She refused to pay attention to it and instead she forced a smile onto her face. "My lord," he said with a bow of her head.
She had dressed in black, the dress clinging to her body. She hoped he liked it. "Are they for me?" she indicated the flowers. She made no move to touch him yet, though some part of her knew he would want to. Still this must have been better than her hiding for a week.
