Zoe reacted to his touch like it was fire, twisting to the side with a wince so he couldn't touch her. "No." she shook her head, "No." she ran her hands through her hair, fingers curling into the dark strands and staying there for a few moments. He was being honest. He admitted to shooting her. But there was something wrong with how he was reacting. She was feeling a mix of things right now.
She laughed a little but there was no amusement in it as she let her hands finally slide down to her shoulders and off. She looked crushed. "You didn't want me at Times Square because you were shooting people. You shot me. And you're not sorry." she wasn't asking. "I can't even be upset.. because you're not real." it was a cruel thing to say but she said it before she could stop herself because it was things like this that were a slap in the face. Cold reminders about the reality of whatever this was between them was nothing and would end in nothing but misery for just her. Greed would move on to whatever new toy caught his fancy.
