"HEY!" Patience had taken off running as soon as he saw the guy snatch a lady's handbag from the bench beside her and run for it. Nobody outran Patience. He would just keep going and going until he caught the bastard. Fortunately, he didn't have to go far. The thief panicked and ran off down the pier, with nowhere to go. Patience ran after him, keeping him in sight until he ran into a girl all in while, knocking her to the ground. Then Patience sped up, his instinct changing to help the poor girl up, but he didn't want to let the guy get away.
"Give back the handbag, sir!" he said, holding his hand out. "You have nowhere to go." The thief hesitated, then threw the handbag at Patience and used the distraction to slip past him. Patience wanted to bring him to justice, but he had the handbag back, and the girl on the ground looked rather shocked, so he bent down to her instead.
"Are you okay, miss?" he said, holding out a hand to help her up.
