Sol swallowed nervously, then shrugged. "I am inside all the time. Of course I am sad," she said bitterly. Even if he hadn't made a move closer to her she still took a step back when he crossed his arms. "How am I supposed to know? I am not my brothers keeper. I am not even able to see him when he's near."
Sol couldn't have been happier when she saw Skoll sleek in beside Hati. At least there was a physical wall between her and that particular wolf. She honestly didn't know if she was supposed to be scared of him and run. She couldn't recall the last time she had even seen him.
The need to hold onto Skoll was great and somewhere in that head of hers she knew that was bad. Very, very dangerous. Instead she settled with helping to put the groceries away because it gave her something to do without having to look at Hati. And then she saw the box of popcorn she liked so much and stopped everything just to get a package and microwave it.
