He smiled at her and shook his head. "I do nothing easily. Nor bury myself. Except in my work and that doesn't count." He smirked at her before shrugging. "I love Jade and Aidan both, equally. I ask nothing of them they are unwilling to give. They are both young, and don't want to settle down. I'd love to have them to myself." He glanced to one of his works. "I know how finite they are, the mortals. Lovers always break my heart. They fade."
He sighed, "And I do not." He smiled again, "but that little moment, that bit of fire, it's enough for me." He took her hand and kissed her knuckles. "Same to you Lizzie. And I'm glad you came to me."
