Achilles still wasn't over what had been done to Patroclus and Briseis without a reprimand. He could hold a grudge a long time, Hermes was up there on his list of people he despised. Agamemnon was still number one. It had taken weeks for him to heal enough to even be seen. It had put a damper in his work, but right now his focus was on those that needed him.
Perseus had been of some help as he was seeing Deridre, and it gave Briseis company when he couldn't be there. He didn't wish to be a burden to any of them, it seemed rather odd for him having to lease his own apartment out to Patroclus for the time being while he stayed with the girls. When he'd been hospitalized he had made Polyxena a promise, and after he was comfortable at putting some distance between he and Briseis he went to see the woman who had started to creep into his life.
Differences aside she offered quiet and an open heart. He was all too eager to give his own to her in return when for so long his heart had lay dormant with another. It was hard to pinpoint exactly what he was feeling, but it was peaceful. This time she was ready to save him.
