Zoe regretted calling him when he told her she shouldn't have. She agreed. She shouldn't have. It was insanely late, she hadn't seen him in a week and he probably had moved on to some other girl that intrigued him. And if this was under any other circumstances, she would have hung up, but her fear won out and she shook her head, "I know, I'm so sorry." she repeated again, her voice still hushed as she kept moving further into the library, letting out an oof! as she bumped into a bookcase, trying to look behind her and move forward at the same time in the dark.
She looked at the windows in the back and saw the large wolf padding across it, stopping and snarling at the window as if he could see her. What the hell!? Was this wolf actually stalking her? What was going on?? She couldn't hold the fear back in her voice as she whispered, "Chance, I'm so scared.."
