Who: Eurydice and Orpheus
When: Friday morning
Where: The house they're looking at buying
What: They need their own place. So why not buy a big, antique house?!
Warnings: Likely nothing.

As the weeks drew on Eurydice had begun to feel more like her old self. There would always be that change in her, the one which preferred the darkness of night over the beauty of the sun. It wasn't that she loved night over day, she just physically hurt when she was in the sun too long. Plus her eyes could hardly handle the brightness.

But today she would suck it up and work through her own discomfort just to see this house. If it meant having a place she and Orpheus could call their own it was worth it. Because it was so nice that day Eurydice settled on shorts and a lightweight shirt. She did end up bringing a lightweight jacket in case the sun started to torment her. And of course her ensemble wasn't complete with a pair of sunglasses.

They had to take a cab since the neighborhood was a little outside the city, so it took some time to get there. So far Eurydice felt she was handling herself fairly well. She had no sudden urge to hide under a rock. Yet.

When they came to the house, she looked out the window at it with anticipation. The place was gorgeous from the outside. She just hoped the pictures they'd seen were true to the inside. She stepped out and waited for Orpheus before walking up the path to the front door.

Orpheus had started to smile again. There was a light in his dull eyes that had not been there in ages. The world was still strange with Eurydice in it, but he wasn't going to let her go again. Not while he was still breathing.

At times he did feel as if he were floating. Orpheus had taken to following behind her now to make sure she didn't evaporate into the air. He clasped her hand tightly moving forward together as one. It was the life they never got to explore before. So little of being together had been left out that they were making up for.

The exterior of the house was quite beautiful, Eurydice beamed. He liked seeing her happy.

"After you," he said once the door was opened a rep there to discuss the house with them. They made an adoring couple.

Eurydice could see the changes in Orpheus. That in itself made her smile more. It made her happier. She had a reason to live and she would be damned if she let anything change that. So far Hades had been good on his word, but that didn't mean she didn't look over her shoulder from time to time to make sure the Lord of Underworld wasn't coming to get her.

There were times when all she wanted to do was make love to him. It had been such a long time since he had touched that even now when they were intimate she longed for him. Holding him close, touching him, kissing him, none of it seemed enough sometimes. But it helped to know that neither of them would vanish into nothingness.

She stepped inside the house, making sure to take it all in. If this was as nice as the pictures said she was prepared to pay a pretty penny for the place. The room she was really looking forward to seeing was the library/sitting room.

He never once let go of her hand even while they ventured room to room, stealing little kisses randomly to still feel her presence there with him. Her hand wasn't enough, he'd lost his grip before.

Orpheus liked their time alone, the more comfortable he'd grown with it. He still cried when they made love if only because it was still new. He had never been with another person since. He'd made himself celibate. A punishment for even having loved anyone at all. He couldn't ever love anyone as much as he did Eurydice.

Eurydice missed him when she was at work. She missed him anytime thy weren't together and on her breaks she would call just to make sure he was okay. She needed to hear his voice.

So far the house was everything it was cracked up to be. It was old; not as old as them, but stunning. It was cozy and warm. There was a fireplace in every room and without furniture all the rooms felt enormous. As the rep spoke about the house Eurydice listened intently. The yard was a good size. Left was the library and without books to fill the shelves it seemed a little sad but she intended to fix that.

He found himself daydreaming when he was supposed to be teaching. His violin playing had even grown with that same radiant happiness that Eurydice showed right now. He pulled her into his arms, wrapping them around her front as he stood behind her, nuzzling his chin on her shoulder.

"You want it don't you?" he asked sweetly against her ear, fingers twining into hers like vines.

If Eurydice slacked on her job she would end up losing it and possibly a law suit. So if she didn't at least hear his voice as reassurance she would have some serious problems on her hands. She wondered if they could just go to work with each other. That way at least she'd feel him there at all times and not worry. As his music grew the hope that his voice would return grew with it. Anytime he played she danced; it was just a part of being them.

Her head rested back against his shoulder. The rep had left the room to give them a chance to discuss things and look around on their own. She waited until the woman was out of sight before nodding. "I do. It's absolutely gorgeous, just like the pictures. All it's missing is furniture." And maybe some little Orpheus' and Eurydice's running around. But that was for another time.

He kissed her neck snuggling her close. "It's yours my love, anything you want I'll give it to you." He didn't want to deny her anything. Not when he had the opportunity to shower her. The place was by far larger than anything he'd ever lived in, but he'd also not lived with another person in a long time. It was exciting getting to plan a life again. It was time he got to fully live it.

Eurydice bit her lip, smiling with excitement. "I'm putting in at least half." She wasn't about to let him pay for the entire thing when she had a nice stash of money hidden away. She looked around at the circular library, "Your aunt Clio is going to love this room. I might ask her for helping decorating it." She turned and smiled brightly at him. "Thank you. Thank you, my love." She kissed him deeply, wrapping her arms around his shoulders.

"I'm sure she will. We mist invite her over once we've moved in." There was so much to be happy for, Eurydice's smile was all he needed to say yes. He hugged her tight. "It's the home I never got to give you before..." The life they had only dreamed of.

Once the rep stepped back in, they put in their offer. This was a grand house, it wasn't the only offer riding on it. It would be a week or so before they found out which offer would be the owner. Orpheus assured the rep that if it came sown to more money he would put down even more (with Eurydice's input). He would not lose his dream with her a second time.
