Lena hadn't told him much, just that her best friend was in the hospital. And Aidan had visited enough people in hospitals to know that going alone was never really wise. So he'd offered to come along. He'd let her go in first, lagging behind in the gift shop and getting a small bouquet and a little stuffed bear. Hospitals were dull and bland, and every instinct he had as an artist screamed at him to color on all the walls, to liven up the joint. But if this was all he could do, then it'd have to do.
