That she even came to him, just to explain herself, should have spoke profoundly of her feelings towards him. She felt it would do no good to keep it to herself. She had obsessed for over a week on how best to tell him. There was no best way. She simply had to do it and face whatever consequences there might be. She only hoped there were none.
