He let her talk showing no interest in her conversation. She had a curiosity even he didn't hold, but he found himself answering her. "I had brothers." There was a hint of sadness in his voice. Monsters didn't dwell on what they'd lost, but humans did. Briareos hadn't been a monster in a long time. He was stuck in his human form.

"The sea doesn't know me anymore." He didn't know the last time he'd stepped into the salt, it may make him feel more himself. "You talk a lot." He paused in his drawing but did not look at her. He wasn't going to spout longings of what he missed, it made him uncomfortable.
