She managed not to laugh but couldn't help her smile. "Next time you fuss over being a father remind me to bring this conversation up." She kissed the girl before setting her down. Ever since the girl had discovered her legs she was hard to keep still.
She understood the worry though. She'd spend so long fussing over Nefertem, and her second child made it easier. "She'll have protection you know. The Eye always watches. And she isn't that small anymore. She's going to be your height when she is older."
"I understand your worries beloved one. But she is lion born. She shouldn't be caged. Why don't we find places where she could play and where we both could keep an eye on her? Plenty of playgrounds around that would suit. And trust her to bite if anyone tries to do anything she doesn't like." Smiling she set her hand on his arm. "You weren't the one she discovered those teeth on. She'll be fine."
