Who: Guy of Gisborne and Robin Hood When: Wednesday afternoon Where: Streets of NY after Robin takes some much needed archery practice at the local range Warnings: TBD Note: Reposted as a favour
Robin had been around in the city for years, he should have detected one of these guys were around. John, Gisborne, they were popping up like daisies, rancid ones that needed their heads lopped off. Robin wasn't worried for himself, he always managed to get himself out of scrapes, and even the ones he was certain death was the only way out.
Marian however, that was territory that he didn't like being invaded. Gisborne interested was enough, he could take care of that. John on the other hand, that was eerie. What could the rat possibly want with Marian? She wasn't his type, far too headstrong for any wealthy arse that could have his pick of any willing girl on her knees.
He was antsy, but he wasn't about to let it show. Robin could always carry his tune as a one man show, but even he had to admit it would be nice to see some of his familiar faces. Much, John Little, Scarlett and even Tuck. When there was more than one man to execute a plan things ran smoother---when he wasn't ordering them around to work faster.
He missed his gang.

[info]this_guy 2011-04-13 07:21 am (local) (link) Track This Coffee with Marian had been both satisfying and frustrating. It was always good to see her and they'd talked without any arguing but he'd told her about John and put himself in a possibly bad position. His former King could be petulant and vicious while being entirely unpredictable. Sure, she'd told him to tell him everything but now he was nervous that John might have actually been keeping track of him.
Which meant as he was hurrying down the street he was deep in thought. At least he was until his shoulder crashed into someone else and he recoiled with a snarl. "Watch it...ah hell my day is complete."

[info]stealn_ur_richz 2011-04-13 08:51 pm (local) (link) Track This "Oh Giz, just the person I wanted to see," he sighed. He wouldn't give the lackey credit just yet, not when Robin wasn't sure what his intentions were unless it was to sway Marian to his side.
He still had his arrow pack on his back and the bow strapped against his chest. "My aim is still good, like to find out?"

[info]this_guy 2011-04-13 09:20 pm (local) (link) Track This "Oh sure. I'd love to see the news story about the psycho attacking people with a bow on the city streets." He rolled his eyes and turned around to walk the other direction. The last thing he needed right now was fucking Locksley.

[info]stealn_ur_richz 2011-04-13 09:38 pm (local) (link) Track This Robin pulled the bow from around his back and held it in his hands with a amused grin. "Aww, is Giz afraid? You used to think you could beat me in an archery contest," Robin wasn't going to let him go. He wasn't done poking at all the soft spots. Gisborne was easy to prod, and it made Robin feel better.
He caught up to the brooding brunette, stopping right in front of him on a more serious note.
"Why did you tell Marian? Is this your way of slipping in on her good side?"

[info]this_guy 2011-04-13 10:02 pm (local) (link) Track This "What do you care?" He certainly wasn't afraid. He was irritated. "You and your enormous ego can just skip off and go play now."

[info]stealn_ur_richz 2011-04-13 10:13 pm (local) (link) Track This "I care because you don't give away information so easily. What's your motive Gisborne?" Robin was serious. "You're in with John, I don't tread around that lightly. You're just as much the snake as he is."
Robin eyed him seriously, a game that Gisborne never walked away with without his tail between his legs.

[info]this_guy 2011-04-13 10:17 pm (local) (link) Track This He turned abruptly which meant he pretty much ended up right in Robin's face. "My motives are none of your business. Believe of me whatever you want. It's what you do about everyone anyway so why should I spoil your fun?"

[info]stealn_ur_richz 2011-04-13 10:22 pm (local) (link) Track This Robin's hand fisted in Gisborne's shirt pulling him with him. He would whip him with the soles of his own shoes if he didn't listen. "It is my business when it involves Marian. Your dark horse manner doesn't work with me, I'll send you back to John crying if you don't talk to me." He wasn't going to walk away with nothing. He never did. "Can't you just hear it Gisborne, the tears are already lining your prissy little face."

[info]this_guy 2011-04-13 10:25 pm (local) (link) Track This For once it just didn't bother him for some reason. Whether it was knowing John was back or just the fact that he was already stuck in the middle of everything he started to laugh instead of getting angry.
"You know that Marian is quite able to take care of herself. She doesn't need your sorry ass trying to make her into a dishrag to be protected."

[info]stealn_ur_richz 2011-04-13 10:36 pm (local) (link) Track This It was in his nature to play hero, to protect those closest to him even the burliest of them all like Little John. Robin would never stop trying to help those that needed it, even if it meant being at arms with Marian at how she should be spending her time.
She wasn't a maiden anymore, she didn't need spend her time crocheting and knitting (though in old times he would have preferred it), it was her strength that he adored. It didn't change the fact that he was a protector and even Robin needed to protect the woman he loved. Call it hopeless romanticism.
"Why, does it bother you Gisborne that you can't be the one to ride off on that white horse and sweep her off her feet? at least once? She's not a dishrag, but I'll not let John dig his claws in."

[info]this_guy 2011-04-13 10:39 pm (local) (link) Track This "What can I say? The universe is into me and unrequited love. I get tired of it honestly and my horse is black although he does have a white hoof." He utterly ignored the subject of John of course. The warning had been delivered to the person he gave a damn about and that wasn't the man in front of him.
So he mockingly tipped his finger at his forehead like he was tipping his hat and turned to walk away again.

[info]stealn_ur_richz 2011-04-14 08:13 pm (local) (link) Track This "The universe only likes you because some actor made you appealing," Robin laughed not letting Guy walk away so easily.
He pulled his bow back sticking one arrow in and letting it fly just over his head, skimming against his hair and planting into the streetlamp pole he was about to pass by.
Robin may not like Gisborne, but he wasn't ready to end the conversation. He shrugged as Gisborne turned around. It was too bad Tuck wasn't around or he could have gotten Guy drunk and tied him up to talk like old days. It didn't always work, but it was how he intercepted a plan or two.
"Drink?"
[ooc: And if any of this is not kosher let me know and I'll fix, btw]
(Reply to this)(Parent) (Thread) and I fell asleep with a massive headache mid reply lol [info]this_guy 2011-04-15 08:31 am (local) (link) Track This One thing he was always sure of with Locksley was that he'd shoot him in the front if he was going to bother to kill him so he hadn't winced at the arrow going by.
He looked back over his shoulder with what could only be described as a completely dubious expression. "Part my hair, threaten me then try to get me to drink with you? It's a wonder you have friends at all."
(Reply to this)(Parent) (Thread) I did too. As far as fail on reply! [info]stealn_ur_richz 2011-04-17 12:18 am (local) (link) Track This "Better friends than the ones you hang with," he said with a forced smile. He wasn't about to become friends with the dark-haired joke, nor would he stop his pestering, but Robin would always be willing to give even the most sniveling of characters a chance to redeem themselves. Except for the likes of John or the Sheriff, they had proved to be a lost cause. Even though deep down, something in Robin would always hope for the best in people.

[info]this_guy 2011-04-17 08:14 pm (local) (link) Track This "So...what the hell do you want? Obviously it's not to actually sit down and have a drink together since you hate me. I can think of much better things to do with my time than forcing myself to be civil for an hour or so with someone pumping me for information." He crossed his arms and waited for an answer.
