Re: Apollo/Daphne/Eros
[info]tricky_arrow 2011-07-01 03:32 am UTC (link) Track This Eros stiffened as Apollo's grip tightened around his shirt. He'd been here before and not too long ago with Poseidon. It wouldn't do well to make his wife a widow with their daughter watching.
Eros' hands lay atop Apollo's wrist.
"Calm down Mr. Sun," he said in a trying voice. "I'm trying to help." And he was, it just was coming out completely wrong. Daphne in tears was just making it that much more difficult. Did his pantheon have to be so dramatic?

[info]mind_freak 2011-07-01 03:57 am UTC (link) Track This Psyche had been so focused on Ariadne and Hedone that she only just caught a glimpse of the scene developing around Eros. After telling Hedone to stay with Ariadne she gave her friend a tired look, "Excuse me a minute while I rescue my husband," and she was off to get Eros away from Apollo and Daphne.
She came up to the three with a little, embarrassed smile and placed her hands on Eros' shoulders. "Sorry to interrupt what looks to be an interesting conversation, but Eros I think it's time you leave them alone." She gave him the look which was like a mother scolding her child that if he didn't come with her she would damn well drag him away.

[info]borninlight 2011-07-01 04:07 am UTC (link) Track This Apollo's anger crumbled when Daphne broke down. Even now, it tore him apart to see her so afraid of him. Without the security of a computer between them, everything came back full force and with awful clarity. He still felt an intense need to have Daphne, she still clearly refused him, and there was nothing they could do to remedy their situation.
He released Eros' shirt once Psyche intervened - there was no need to involve someone else in this mess. However, it didn't improve his mood. "No, please, allow him to stay and help. Tell me, Eros, how many more times we need to repeat this before you finally get what you want."
