Who: War & Ares When: Thursday night Where: Some NY bar What: Two old war gods in the same place Warnings: My guess is violence.
War didn't understand the Christians who embraced lovey-dovey pacifist turn the other cheek bullshit. When she thought upon her master above, it was the final hours of Sodom and Gomorrah, the natural disasters He said were His wrath, the fires of His jealousy that burned through all those that denied Him. As for the Son, War remembered only the man who forged his own whip, who told mankind he came to tear families apart and commanded men to arm themselves with swords. A gentle religion was no part of War's existence and while people fought and argued over their ways of worship, War was there in the thick of it.
She was God's wrath and nothing would stop her except the very end of existence. Which, in War's opinion, was too slow coming. Living among the humans for so long exhausted her. She wished sometimes that she could just sleep until the End of Days, like she was supposed to.
But then there were other times when she was having too much fun, like tonight.
Bar brawls weren't exactly an uncommon even for War. Could she be blamed for it if some big guys started getting all agitated around her? Fights happened to break out where she was, it was just the way it went down. Which wasn't to say that War didn't encourage these things, and goad people into it, and tease and mock them until they took a swing. The first punch was always what War loved the best, that starting signal for everything that made her heart try to jump out of her chest with joy and excitement.
But now two of them were off to hospital and War had slipped away with a grin, going to find another dive bar and ordering a beer. It was being handed to her when she felt a familiar feeling nearby, a curling tendril of bloodlust filling her.
She turned and spotted the Greek god of war on the other side of the room and grinned, picking up her beer and making her way over. "Hello, soldier," she smiled up at him. The last time they'd met had been a long while ago and she'd been in a boy body then. Had he gotten much much taller or was that just because of this tiny girl body she'd started inhabiting?

[info]destroyerofmen 2012-06-07 01:11 am (local) (link) Track This Ninety percent of the time, Ares was bored out of his skull. There was very little to do around the city, and the pantheon was suspiciously quiet. In his own opinion, it just meant something needed to start, but he just fought the wars and didn't start them. So outside of bothering Aphrodite he lurked around the bars and tried to find kindred souls. He knew about the Titan lurking about and part of him wanted to go harass his father's bitch (with Zeus gone he could get away with so much more), and he felt the Titans needed to learn their places anyway.
But tonight was the bar, mainly because Aphrodite had told him to go bother someone else , and feeling his age. He missed the days of bloodshed and tearing into people and reveling in the battle. He only perked up when he felt the familiar sensation of fight, and men dying, and the sound of swords or bullets. The girl however, mystified him. It had been significantly different last time they'd met up (back when Ares had put on a uniform for shits and giggles) but he remembered the feeling. He'd even loaned out his twins, an Ares-sign he liked anyone, and he'd had some fun.
So he grinned, because he was Greek and since when had gender ever mattered, and kicked someone of the bar chair next to him. "Well hello general. You look different. Like it though." Ares didn't hide the way he looked her over.
(Reply to this)(Thread) Oh god War/Ares/Terror Twins = EVERYTHING IS BROKEN [info]warmongering 2012-06-07 04:37 am (local) (link) Track This "A good look, yeah?" War grinned, hands on her hips as she looked up at the Greek. Gender was even less important to War than it was to any Greek, seeing as though she didn't breed or fall in love or any of that messy human business. "Makes it a bitch when they always ask for ID though. But me and the sisters are trying something new for now." She tilted her head a little. "You're looking bored, dude."

[info]destroyerofmen 2012-06-07 10:04 am (local) (link) Track This He nodded, "just a bit." He'd looked before too, but he had enough wits about him not to try anything. This slight of a thing could rip him apart ten ways from Sunday before he'd know what had hit him.
Chuckling he pointed to her beer, "seem to manage though, and your entire lot is trying this? And here I figured was I bored." Admitting that he shrugged to her last words. "Comes with getting old cupcake. Nowhere for me to go." He hadn't had a good fight since this country had had it's revolution, and after that the rules had changed. The old ones were easy to know, and easier to break, but now everything went with consequences and Ares wasn't a god made for these things. The Geneva Convention had killed a good portion of his fun. That and he still preferred swords over bullets. Seeing a man die rather then press a button was how he got his kicks.
"Figured you'd be off over sea's though. That much to do for you up here?"

[info]warmongering 2012-06-08 08:42 am (local) (link) Track This "I kinda enjoy getting underestimated though," War grinned at him, stretching up onto her toes for a moment of height and then flashing her bloody knuckles at him. "Stupid bar crawlers seem to think they can take me."
At the mention of overseas War pouted a little. "Yeah, it's way better almost anywhere that isn't here. I'm killer envious of the other mes who get the Middle East and Africa. Those places sound so brilliant! And America is way boring. Mostly I sit around starting fights and waiting until I get called."

[info]destroyerofmen 2012-06-09 02:48 am (local) (link) Track This "More fools them," he'd never underestimate this thing. It was part of him, just as he was part of it. It would never matter what form she would wear. "You know me though. Bar crawls are nice, but it's a field I crave. Miss those days."
"Let me know when that is alright?" He didn't expect to stand a chance then, but he wouldn't face his end sitting around. He'd go out with a bang, and he'd always wanted to taste angels blood. "I'm stuck here though. Can only cross for little whiles. I miss the revolution."

[info]warmongering 2012-06-20 12:20 pm (local) (link) Track This "I know, right?" War grinned. "Makes their heads get all bloodied up." She frowned then. "I don't know how these people can live inside their boring little skins without a battlefield laid out before them." Looking across the people she sighed. "Not one man in this bar has ever even picked up a sword, isn't that pathetic? It's such a waste of good muscle."
War chuckled quietly at the idea of War throwing himself into the Apocalypse. "Could be pretty funny to see, gotta admit. Plus it'd confuse to crap out of almost everyone. No one expects the Greeks to show up at the end of Christendom."
