Who:Sekhmet, Shesmu, Hathor What:Hathor-induced shenanigans, or getting ready for a party When:Sunday, Hallow's Eve Where:Sekhmet and Hathor's place, then some swanky up-scale L.A. Bar Warning:Language, mentions of violence, alcohol, TBD otherwise
As amusing as the conversation over the internet had been, the actual task of getting dressed was more daunting then it appeared. Sekhmet was Royalty, both born of it and married into it, wearing something like this seemed...oddly strange.
Somewhere, Ra was laughing his head off, she just knew it.
It wasn't the amount of skin that showed that bothered her, when the weather permitted Sekhmet was very happy to soak up the rays of the sun in nothing but her skin, but she never appreciated the looks. Mortal man presumed too much, and saw a female like something to stare at at their leisure. It was very hard then to hold back and remind them of their place.
Once she'd managed to get dressed, and making a reminder to inform Hathor that her other half owed her for this. Regardless of the wager she'd made. She tugged the dress down as far as it would go and growled low in her throat. "This. Is ridiculous." Why she kept giving in to Hathor she didn't know, but at least she was spared heels. Still if she moved the wrong way she was sure the entire world would get a great look. She would need to avoid that.
With a critical eye she tossed away the hat, she had limits and looked for ways to make the damn thing a bit less constricting and more fitting for battle. Without her mirror noticing. "How is one supposed to fight in something like this. Completely unpractical." She sighed and tossed her hair over her shoulders, knowing she would have to wait for her other companions to get ready.
At least she wouldn't freeze to death. Being the Lady of Flames had some advantages.

He was dressed in Hathor's horrifying little costume choice and he felt like he'd be a lot more comfortable going naked than in this little gold lioncloth. He could see his own bare arse cheeks in the mirror with hardly any movement at all! How was that dignified? The head dress only made it all the more shameful.

[info]powerfulfemale 2010-11-03 01:44 am (local) (link) Track This Sekhmet turned and only smiled. He wasn't laughing at her so she would not be so cruel to him. She raised an eyebrow, her look turning warmer. "I disagree. I like it quite a bit. Very appealing." She grinned and tested the dress by walking to him, "and be glad you can walk. I have no movement."
Gently she set a warm hand on his chest, both out of want to touch him and give him some warmth, "and before you ask Self does this often."

[info]divinebutcher 2010-11-03 05:42 pm (local) (link) Track This "My backside is greeting the world," Shesmu grumbled but then Sekhmet touched him and his expression lightened as he smiled a little at her. Maybe it wasn't so bad being here in this costume since it meant Sekhmet was there as well.
He leaned in to kiss her lips softly and it was then that Hathor strode in, dressed in her previously-promised 'sexy' police uniform. Shesmu hadn't really seen any police that looked like that except when they were strippers on movies. "You look..." he began and then faltered, trying to think of something diplomatic to say above the long expanses of leg and swelling breast-line. It wasn't that it was a bad look, it was just... well. He was with Sekhmet for a start. "Not really like a policewoman."
Hathor beamed. "And isn't it marvelous!" she said, taking it completely as a compliment. "You both look wonderful and terribly uncomfortable," she told them, her voice obnoxiously cheery.

[info]powerfulfemale 2010-11-04 01:02 am (local) (link) Track This Now she laughed, only slightly. She hadn't had much oppertunity to laugh recently. "I shall greet it right back then," her words were soft, just for him. She returned his kiss gladly, only stepping back when her Self walked into the room.
She watched her mirror, knowing Hathor looked divine. That Shesmu was so diplomatic warmed her heart. She stepped over to Hathor and smiled, "you look gorgeous, as always Beauty." Sekhmet had no issues being appreciative of her self's looks. Gently her hands slid over Hathor's arms, "very appealing."
She made a face then and crossed her arms, "of course I am uncomfortable. I cannot move and mortal men will not look at my eyes in this. And if fights break out Love? I cannot stop them in this." Always practical, and one last hope to appeal to logic. But she did remember her wager.
"You know Lord-Father would die laughing, don't you?"

[info]mistressofmusic 2010-11-07 10:16 pm (local) (link) Track This In all honesty, Shesmu knew he'd let Sekhmet greet any part of his anatomy however he wanted. How could he deny a weakness for war goddesses, especially Sekhmet herself?
Hathor wrapped her arms around Sekhmet, sliding hands across her mirror's body. (Different to her own form - more athletic, less softness and more strength - but in some ways exactly the same. Because they were one, despite residing in different bodies.) "There will be no fight," Hathor assured her, running her fingers through Sekhmet's hair. "All will be well and wonderful and we shall drink the night away. And," she grinned, "if you bring laughter to our Lord-Father's lips then maybe he'll finally appear to us."

[info]powerfulfemale 2010-11-08 08:26 am (local) (link) Track This Sekhmet stood patiently still as her other self touched her. She missed the ability to purr, like her great cats, because Hathor always drew that up. Now Shesmu did too.
She let out a deep breath and kissed her other self. She wished she was half as sure as Hathor. Violence and war, that was what she was born to. Not love, like her beautiful mirror. "I wish I was sure beloved." She smiled then, "Father is with us, if not physically. He shall come to us when we need him most." She was sure of that.
She send Shesmu a smile before lending her other self a bit of her warmth. "And, I will admit to enjoying my view. I will not mind seeing that more."

[info]divinebutcher 2010-11-09 10:27 pm (local) (link) Track This Shesmu cleared his throat, embarrassed. He was trying to pay attention to the beautiful goddesses because then he didn't have to remember how almost-naked he was. "So!" he said quickly, before Hathor could make any comment about seeing any more of him either (and he didn't want to think about Sekhmet seeing more right now. That was distracting.) "This party! I hope we're getting a taxi so we don't freeze to death?"
"Of course," Hathor smiled, hands still on her sister-self. "And then there will be drinks and no fights-" she looked pointedly at the both of them "-and you'll see what fun this holiday is."
Shesmu doubted the fun.

[info]powerfulfemale 2010-11-09 11:26 pm (local) (link) Track This She raised a skeptical eyebrow to the comment, "it is a perversion of what it used to be. Like most of this countries holidays." Sekhmet liked tradition. She disliked seeing old holidays be transformed into a greeting card. She said nothing about the not fighting. Being uncomfortable would not stop her from protecting.
Gently she pried her self's hands off her before Hathor forgot there was a taxi on the way. "Then let us go. The sooner I am out of this garment the better. And I will do my best to have fun."
