Note: Reposted as a favour
There was a restlessness inside since being reunited with his girls and his dark lady all at once. It played his senses quite beautifully, and he could feel the inspiration speak to him. It was too little too early though, he had been out of the habit for so long that he was rusty. Words didn't flow in the same way he wanted them to, not in the way they had, with grace and beauty. Instead his words were choppy, harsh, and with no flow whatsoever.
Finally, he'd made some progress the Greek world exploded and his girls left him again. He now spent his days worried with a compassion that only a romantic lover could feel for those tucked inside his heart for all time. He hadn't heard a peep for weeks which finally sent him in a annoyed tizzy and another argument with Fiona.
In a frustrated rush, Shakespeare stormed out to do what any depressed artistic mind did. Get drunk. It was a good vice for old playwright. He wasn't Captain America, and could get completely drunk if he so chose to.
He stepped into the bar, not familiar with it but greeted the blonde boy at the bar with the tip of his head. Kyle whipped down the counter with a grin.
"What can I do for you tonight?" Will tapped his fingers against his chin taking a seat. It was then his big eyes fell on the other blonde behind the counter. Oh what a gorgeous lady! Kyle looked back between him and Ariadne with a laugh. It was a good thing Dionysus was busy. Kyle nudged Ariadne with his elbow. "So looks like you've got a customer Ari," he smiled handing her the towel.

Ariadne was just vain enough to sense it when people looked at her, and admired her. She was a goddess, and despite how it made Dion pout, people looked at her. And it worked on her pride and ego.
So she took the towel and made a face at Kyle, "go stock up the back. Brat." She walked closer, honing down on the shiver inside of her. Immortal then. Not Greek, but that changed nothing. Ariadne made it her duty to be nice to everyone. The more friends she made amongst other immortals the better.
With her brother safe, it allowed her to be less worried. So she smiled at the new immortal and set a glass in front of him, pouring some of Dion's own wine into it. "On the house." She smiled warmly before offering her hand. "Ariadne, once of Crete."

His eyes stayed on her even when the boy waved his hand in front of William's not so subtle gaze. Kyle laughed giving Ariadne a face and a groan. "Fine," he said begrudgingly.
Now it was just the two of them. She said her name and William shook his head out of that trance. He took her hand in his, kissing the top. "A pleasure," he said feeling the same vibe she had felt. "William Shakespeare."

"Really?" Even she had heard of the famous poet, and inwardly she was gloating. Just a little. So few charmed anymore, or bantered with her. They all saw the husband just behind her shoulder and decided not to test his limits. Which she found rather hypocritical seeing Dion had more lovers then he knew what to do with.
"Then it is my great honor to welcome you to Naxos." Smiling she withdrew her hand, pushing the glass closer. "From our very own vineyards. Try it." She watched him, still curious about this man. She met so few poets.

"The one and only, my lady," he said with a proper bow. His hand still cling to hers and when she pulled it back a little piece of his romantic heart broke. He watched her with joyful eyes, his spirits lighter already and he'd not even tasted the wine yet.
He did as he was offered, taking the glass gingerly and tasting. The wine was like velvet, sweet, alluring and almost an absinthe all in itself. He was hooked, not only to that wine but Ariadne's beautiful blue eyes.
"Beautiful," he said with a smile.

She giggled, mostly because the only person who flirted like this with her was her husband. And Dion didn't really count. They'd been married for too long to have it count. This poet didn't know her and still flirted.
A dangerous game, but Dion was busy. She was allowed.
"Thank you. It's our specialty. So tell me of yourself. I only know your tales I fear. I know very little about you." She didn't think he would know her. He wouldn't flirt if he did.

Will could be playing a dangerous game, it wasn't the first time he'd let his eyes get ahead of his mind. He loved beautiful things. He seemed to have a soft spot for Greeks or a radar for them.
His fingers delicately played with the flute of the glass when she spoke again, he stroked it gently. He was more curious about her.
"What little do you know?"

"I know you lived, that you wore your poems and plays. That's it. Like anyone I suppose I like the plays more. I can sympathize with some." But her own tragedy had been of her own making, and she'd gotten a happy ending even after all that. Complaining wouldn't do her any good.
"Do you like it here, in this new world with these new people? It must be different."

"Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind; and therefore is winged Cupid painted blind," he whispered his hand stopping their motions against the glass.
"The world is but a new horizon for me to see again," he said with a shake of his head, "but she is cruel." His eyes cast down. He had sought refuge in the drink and yet had been reminded again of why he was here. The fact that he could not write, the fact that his Muses were away, that he had no one at the moment to cloak his arms around.

She frowned, mostly because it was never nice to see anyone in pain. She wanted to help, or at least try. "It can be, yes." She had tasted of that herself. "But there is light amongst the darkness. There always is. You just have to look."

Will downed his entire glass after that, not at all savoring it as he had the moment before. He needed to feel it buzz against his system so he could forget about the fact that he was useless right now.
"My words are taken from me," he laughed, but it was not out of amusement. "I've become the myth of my own story!" he said holding his hands to his chest then outstretching his arms. "So much that the rest of the world has dried me up."

"Oh," she couldn't really relate to that. "I can't. I am sorry. The world's mostly forgotten about me. I'm little more then a side note sometimes." Shrugging she poured him another glass. "Let's talk of more pleasant things. We don't need to be reminded of the world's cruelty right now."

His hands grabbed for hers again, consoling himself in the softness of it and a desperate touch. He was sure she wanted to be just an ear, and he was just already feeling his head spin a little.
"Yes, yes, let's talk of pleasant things." He gave her a smile.

She didn't know what exactly to talk about, so she talked about everything. The bar, Kyle, the weather even. She'd often sat at the side when Dion held his Bacchanalia's, waiting for everyone to recover from their hangovers and talking to those who treated her like jsut another girl. This was no different.

"So your husband runs the bar with you? Or are you forgotten in his follies?" His chin leaned on his hand, eyes slightly glazed over from the powerfulness that wine held. He seemed undaunted by the fact that she was a married woman, to a god even, things like that did not deter William. He would gripe later of them being unattainable, that was part to his passionate nature.

She waved her hand and shrugged, "sometimes. Dionysus loves me. I know this. His mind wanders though and he likes attention. He is like a butterfly." She smiled to the image, "when he remembers he runs the bar with me. Or more distracts me while I try and do my job. He is a god of pleasures. Sitting still isn't for him."

"And what of you?" He asked curious on how the wife of a fluttering wine god handled that. "Any affairs for you to indulge in?" He was getting tipsy, therefore overtly flirtatious.

She laughed and shook her head. Flirting was fine, anything beyond that was not. "No. I'm faithful. I test him though and he'll be jealous. Greeks are hypocrites." She rolled her eyes and shrugged. "I knew what I was getting into when I married him. Besides, he gave me stars. I'll consider someone who can do better then that."

"It's a shame," he seemed disappointed that he couldn't ease her pretty face out from behind the counter. He'd been tested by married women before, Pandora was his classic example. His dark lady.
"Stars?" he asked . "Doubt that the stars are fire Doubt that the sun doth shine Doubt that truth be a liar But never doubt that I love." He took her hand again kissing it softly. "He is but a lucky man to have a beauty such as you."

She smiled at the poem and the praise and withdrew her hand. "You say that now. Dion is a jealous god William. It's hardly worth it." She chuckled, "And actual stars. I have a constellation. A wedding gift." She brushed her hair from her eyes, "And I think you've had quit enough." She looked around for Kyle, "best to call you a taxi."
