Who: Eros and Psyche
When: Thursday evening
Where: Their house
Warnings: None, unless Eros gets frisky
Psyche wasn't exactly sure if she was concerned about this whole Hera-being-in-charge thing. In fact, she felt more concern over how the souls of her fellow Greeks seemed to be in an uproar about it. It was like they wanted to protest but couldn't. She couldn't blame them, but who was mad enough to go up against Hera? Mean, vindictive queen equals nothing good for anyone on her hit list. Which could be every last Greek in town, regardless of their pasts.
Surprisingly, Psyche was calm about the whole ordeal. Somehow she felt that if she started to panic then it would bring about a whole surge of panic amongst her pantheon. The goddess of the soul really didn't need to be panicking over something she had absolutely no control over. And of course the fact that Hera had nothing personal against her was a plus. At least it hadn't been her mother-in-law (but she'd never say that aloud), because even these days Psyche knew she was still earning Aphrodite's favor. And if she happened to be wrong about that, then it was her own fault. She just had PTSD.
Keeping out all this negative energy wasn't easily, though. Psyche had taken to spending many hours at work and then spending every possible second with Eros and Hedone. It meant her mind was on other, more important things. She looked over to Eros, thinking out loud, "So do you think Hera's going to kill us all?" It was a perfectly reasonable question, considering. And somehow, Psyche didn't seem worried at all. In fact, she sounded very chatty.

Eros lived for the joy of complicating the lives (or un-complicating them in his book) of others. His main thought was quite simple when it came to Hera.
"She needs a good, hard lay." And not by Zeus. He liked Zeus, even if he picked his battles still with the higher-ups, but Hera was a crone. A frigid bitch that really needed something to loosen her up. She definitely wasn't getting that from Big Z.
There was a soft giggle at the end of his voice. February was gearing up and right around the corner. He already had ideas panned out in that head of his. This time, he'd have backup.

Psyche looked absolutely disgusted by that. "EW!" She cringed and made a gagging sound. "Ew ew, EW!"
The very thought of Hera of all people having sex was disgusting. "Don't get me wrong, I enjoy being with you in ever sense of the word, but I never want to hear you talk about her like that again. I have limits for what I can endure, you know."
Even if he found it funny to meddle with every else's love lives Psyche was openly against it. Of course, she couldn't really do anything about it since he was a love god. It was his place. She just wished he'd enhance love rather than making random people fall in love for a night. "Just don't make her fall for some random guy this year. It was horrible when that monster of a sea king came and hurt you. I don't think I can protect you against Hera..."

Eros grinned like that of a five year old boy, pointing a finger at her disgust. He was just as much a child as Hedone.
"Poseidon is a pussy. Look where he is now?" It actually made him laugh even more. His arms enveloped around her making her fall back on the couch with him from where they sat. Psyche was serious though, and Eros had endured some twisted things even since Poseidon. The gods of sleep and dreams had already visited him before and broke his mind for a good few weeks.
Eros kissed her cheek sweetly. "No one gets you though," he nuzzled his nose against her neck. "Just me."

Psyche glared at him, insulted by the joy he seemed to get out of her disgust. Some days she wished he'd be more serious.
She only frowned at that. "Yes, but who can say it'll last long? For all we know, he could be getting his titles back as we speak. At least we don't have to worry about him. If you decided to add Hera to your list, if you make one, I'm pretty sure she'd skin you alive." She made an unf sound when he pulled her down, but didn't seem to mind otherwise.
She crossed her ankles, and though in most situations she would have been kissing him at this point, she made no move. But she did smile a little, "I know. You'd never do something like that. I have all the love I could ask for right here with you and Hedone." And then she gave him a very serious look. "But seriously, don't do anything to Hera. With her as regent it's bad enough, but we don't want to give her any reason to actually kill us all."

The entirety of his pantheon were made of bullies, including his old man. Eros simply gave those he disliked the most the nastier end of his love drunk potions. It brought out the best and worst of people. What they did under his spells were sometimes of their own subconscious mind, if he chose to let it shine through. Relationships could be built off these little affairs.
He gave Psyche a grin, his brows softening when she appeared so serious. With a flip of his head against the arm of the couch he sighed. "Baby, I've got a few good plans cooked up this year, but they won't involve Hera." She'd flay him on their front door, and that would be just the beginning. He was precarious, but he would be smart. Zeus and Hera were off limits these days.

Psyche was very fortunate that her immediate family weren't crazy or after other people. Though, if you wanted to get technical Eros sending love arrows at random people could be considered just that. But she saw it as more of a loving way of getting people to open their eyes and see how tragic their lives were without love.
"See, this is where I get mildly curious just so I know what sort of reactions I should expect and if I need to put up wards or something. But I'd just rather not know anything. I can always have suitcases on standby," she said with a cheeky grin.

"This is why I love you," his silly grin grew, hands cupping her face gingerly. If he ever lost her, Eros would never love another again. He was certain. An almost ironic reaction from the god of love, but she was his entire world. She had been since day one. He'd done everything to help her escape the tests of his mother because anyone else just wasn't worth it.
"I'll tell you if you want," he bit down on his bottom lip, sucking it in behind his teeth as his hands traveled down her back.

"Because I am rational and expect the unexpected. It's my greatest gift," she said with a grin. Psyche was generally a pacifist, but anyone ever touched Eros or their daughter she would do everything in her power to make them pay. And wouldn't hold back.
At that her brow lifted curiously. "Don't tempt me. I really don't need or want to know who will be getting together." She thought about that for a moment, "There won't be any Olympian's involved, or their spouses?" It was nothing more than precaution.

"Because you think ahead." It was her strength of character that attracted him to her outside of her beautiful face which he had first fallen for. Even under the spell of one of his own arrows, Eros believed love had been there long before he'd pricked himself.
His mouth twitched to the side, eyes rolling up to look at the ceiling. "Poseidon last year got lucky because of me, I was nice. I could have done soooo much worse." He thought again, tapping a finger against his chin. "I don't think so, but you never know."

Psyche looked very pleased with that statement. "I always have suitcases on standby. Just in case." Her life with Eros was the best thing that had ever happened to her. Had she not been compared to Aphrodite they might have never been brought together.
She gave him a look, "Something tells me Apollo or Dionysus wouldn't mind if they were hit, but the others are pretty terrifying. Just be careful who you choose."

"I want to help out Echo. Let her know what real love could be like." He also fully intended on pissing off Narcissus so he knew what rejected love felt like. Make him crumble into pieces when he couldn't have what he wanted.
His arms circled her, holding her tiny waist. He gave her a sweet kiss.

For a moment Psyche thought it was odd he'd pinpoint Echo out of everyone in the city, but then she remembered they were friends. Psyche herself didn't often see Echo, but she did like the nymph. "She does deserve to know what love is like," she said in agreement. This was something she could work with. Someone who actually deserved to be struck by the arrow of love. This could work. "But Narcissus is the lead guy in her myth's. Unless I'm mistaken he's the only man she's ever loved, or thought she loved. Do you intend to strike her or him? Because I have to say, if you make her fall even more in love with him he will only make things worse for her. I saw their conversation," she said with a knowing look.
She giggled a little at that kiss and returned it just as delicately. But still, she was here to converse.

Of course he'd pinpoint Echo. He was fond of the girl, very fond. He'd never stray from his beloved, but he adored the darling girl. He wanted to be a friend, a right hand man when no one else would step up to the plate. "Narcissus know what it's like to have someone. To be rejected." His grin grew wide with eyes dancing back to hers. "To have someone else contend for her feelings."

Psyche smirked at this. The whole plan was liable to blow up in his face, but she said nothing of it. Yet. She would be sure to have their bags packed and waiting by the door. In fact, it was probably best to just book a hotel room at the other end of the country to be safe. "It would do her some good to know what it's like. Just be careful. Things tend to go sour when you get out of hand," she warned.

"What's that look for?" He asked tickling her sides. "I know the last few years things haven't gone exactly as planned, but last year was definitely not so bad." Compared to the previous year where he had been kidnapped and missing for nearly seven months, this was a walk in the park.
