Who: Dionysus and Apollo What: Apollo's demanding meeting When: Wednesday morning Where: Apollo's apartment Warnings: A flirtatious Dionysus
Apollo had been so persistent in his request (or demand) that Dionysus could hardly resist, not when his brother had once again been at arms length. True, the wine god may have played the tune just to get his brother's attention, but it was obvious. He'd done nothing to harm the forbidden nymph. Her pleas for an exit were disheartening. She clung tight to her vows to Artemis which was a shame as she would have made a perfect maenad.
He'd dressed up for Apollo. The cleanest shirt, dazzling eyes shadow and a pair of slacks. He felt an argument on the horizon, and they could give some dizzying ones. Two sides of the same coin, it was inevitable that Dionysus would threaten to turn Apollo's structure to chaos.
Knocking on the door, Dionysus sneakily held onto a bottle of gin, ready to lace his coffee for the headache that would rise once he was invited inside. That was if Apollo was a good host and offered coffee.

[info]borninlight 2012-01-04 08:23 am (local) (link) Track This Apollo was fuming. Seething. In between the time he'd told Dionysus to come over and now, he'd thought of a number of ways to kill Dionysus, a handful of them decent. The longer he was around his brother, the more tired he became of his attitude, of the push and pull that seemed to come with their relationship over the years.
It was stupid of Dionysus to think that he would be at all rational when it came to Daphne. Apollo wrenched the door open when he knew his brother was there, his only greeting a sharp command of "In. Now." He stepped back into the apartment, pushed Cherie's pack and play a little closer to the wall. He still hadn't picked up from the time she'd been with him, too preoccupied by this issue to think about much else.

[info]dipsomaniac 2012-01-04 01:12 pm (local) (link) Track This Dionysus feigned shock, "Really, so demanding. I like it," he purred, letting his tongue line his upper lip. "You wanted to see me, handsome?" His arms stayed folded behind his back, prancing in a circle with a grin.

[info]borninlight 2012-01-04 08:11 pm (local) (link) Track This "Shut up." Apollo snapped - he shoved his brother, hard, in the shoulder, blocking him against the door. "This isn't a courtesy call. What did you think you were doing?" He wasn't going to say it. Saying it would push him over, make him do something he'd regret later. He let it hang in the air between them, tense and heavy.

[info]dipsomaniac 2012-01-04 10:13 pm (local) (link) Track This Dionysus was not appreciative of the shove, he rubbed the abused shoulder. That had hurt. His eyes burned a dangerous purple hue, brows hanging heavy over their magnificent color. He'd forgotten that little Eros had gotten the best of Apollo, there was obsession hanging in his brother's nasty streak. Still, after all these years he clung to that love.
"No harm came to your darling girl. I ran into her at a wine bar. I bought her a few drinks, but she's a stubborn lot."

[info]borninlight 2012-01-05 08:53 am (local) (link) Track This "She's not stubborn, you idiot, she's sworn to my sister." The words were ground out between his teeth. He was trying very hard not to be rash, to say what Daphne asked him to say because it was her who requested it and for no reason other than that. "A point which I'm sure she brought up early into your conversation. You should have left it at that." He knew, of course, that he hadn't, because he knew Dionysus.
"She's worried she'd offended you. Very worried, if she came to me about it." He crossed his arms against his chest, hands still clenched in white-knuckled fists. "I told her I would speak to you. So, there. I've spoken."

[info]dipsomaniac 2012-01-05 08:23 pm (local) (link) Track This Dionysus leaned up to Apollo, his chest nearly touching, fingers stair-stepping against his shirt. Dionysus flipped Apollo's collar. "So touchy. I had no intention of swaying her, though she would have made a splendid maenad." He stepped away from Apollo with a pout.
"The curse is still strong on you. Eros did quite the number." He folded his arms over his chest.

[info]borninlight 2012-01-05 10:12 pm (local) (link) Track This Apollo was quick to step back and away, frowning as he righted his shirt. "Don't throw it in my face, Dionysus." Of course he was still affected by that idiot's arrow. He always would be. He'd learned to deal with it, mostly, except for times like these when it flared up and threatened to break him.
"If you so much as look at her the wrong way, I'll tear you to bits, brother or no." And that was what he'd wanted to say, felt better now that he'd aired it out.

[info]dipsomaniac 2012-01-06 11:33 am (local) (link) Track This Dionysus rolled his eyes. "All this over me buying her a drink." It was a shame that nymph would be celibate all her life sworn to his sister. Dionysus had fell prey to Eros' arrows before, but the result had ended up far worse than Apollo's.
His eyes still flashed a deep purple, perfectly capable of taking on his brother's rage. "Are you done throwing threat's now? I was hoping we could have a drink." He pulled out his bottle of gin.

[info]borninlight 2012-01-06 04:56 pm (local) (link) Track This "Don't act like I don't know you or know what 'buying a drink' can entail. I'm not stupid."
He stopped for a moment, blinking once, twice, before finally speaking. "Seriously? I'm done. I want you out of my apartment. You're not stupid, Dionysus. You're well aware of my history with Daphne. You knew how I'd react. I'm close to throwing you out of the window. You should leave of your own accord while you still can."

[info]dipsomaniac 2012-01-08 09:40 pm (local) (link) Track This He was flabbergasted at his roughness. With his own eyes flattening to a thin like Dionysus hissed at Apollo. "You are not throwing me out." He held his arms up refusing. After all the time his brother had spent at a distance and he chose to throw him aside? Dionysus would not stand for it.

[info]borninlight 2012-01-08 10:25 pm (local) (link) Track This Apollo shrugged, rolling his shoulders. "Suit yourself." He crossed the room in a few long, heavy steps, his hand fisting in Dionysus' shirt.
"I'm done playing games with you, Dionysus." He didn't give him a chance to argue, or himself a chance to falter, and turned him, wrenched open the door, and gave him a sharp push into the hallway. "Don't test me again."

[info]dipsomaniac 2012-01-08 10:38 pm (local) (link) Track This It was like teetering on the edge of a rope, one foot hanging on the side ready to throw his balance completely off. Dionysus' thin form pushed out of Apollo's apartment with a strong shove. He threw the bottle of gin at his brother's feet, cracking the glass.
"You do this to yourself," Dionysus growled. If Apollo was going to hurt him, he wanted the golden sun god to hurt as well. Apollo was the only thing Dionysus had that kept him complete in this yin and yang circle. With that gone, with it split in two the consequences would be dire. Dionysus would be reckless in ways that had only been tested when Ariadne threw him out. Did his brother wish this?

[info]dipsomaniac 2012-01-09 09:46 pm (local) (link) Track This Dionysus stumbled back crushed to his very core. Dionysus hardly took responsibility for anything, even his own club. It was too much work for the flamboyant god to take control of. He skipped around, had fun, order and structure was not a part of his gig.
He pouted like a four year old stepping back from his brother's door and storming down the hallway. There was a laugh in the air, but there was a darkness about it as he spun a few circles and shot his brother a devious grin.
