WHO: War & Famine
WHEN: Thursday morning
WHERE: Famine's restaurant
WHAT: War has been promised bacon. War will move for bacon.
WARNINGS: tba, but probably not more than language?
When War drank, War tended to get a little fighty. To be more correct, it actually went like this: When War was awake, War tended to get a little fighty. But this morning she remembered it as having to do with the bottle of Wild Turkey and not her own nature.
But all evidence of last night's almost killing a man was gone, since War didn't exactly bruise easily even in this itty bitty teenage body she'd chosen. The evidence of the hangover was remaining though and so War made her way groggily to the place Famine worked to collect her promised food.
Pushing the door open with a scowl, War had already decided that the sunglasses weren't coming off yet and she dropped herself down at one of the tables. A waitress came over and tried to start her spiel but War just held up a hand to silence her. "Nope, get me Fia. I just want Fia."

Famine had felt her sister approach, and the moment she entered the restaurant, she knew. When the waitress came to find her, looking disgruntled and complaining about the rude woman at table five, she laughed and raised an eyebrow. "That's my sister," she said, watching the woman scramble to backpedal. She held up a hand, cutting her off. "I'll take care of her." Famine might not have run the place, but people tended to listen to her, and she wasn't above using that.
Scooping bacon off the griddle, she piled it on a plate and left the kitchen, sliding the plate in front of War once she reached the table. "Cooked it myself," she said. "Made Jake go on a break, because the last thing we need is the kitchen filled with smoke. Again." She looked at War appraisingly. "You look like hell. Coffee?"

War's reply to the bacon wasn't so much words as it was a sound of approval and hunger and with her fingers she grabbed the first hot piece and shoved it into her mouth messily.
"Feel like hell too," War said through her mouthful. "Coffee'd be ace."

Famine snorted as she watched War dig into the bacon. Apparently it had been well received. "Hang on a sec," she said, heading back into the kitchen. Shelly, the waitress who had greeted War when she arrived, looked at Famine with an expression that clearly said 'Your sister is nuts'. Famine just glared, and, locating one of the coffee pots the waitresses carried around for refills, filled it, and grabbed a mug on her way back out.
"Let me guess," she said, plunking the items down on the table. "Somehow booze was involved."

War pulled off her sunglasses so that she could rub her tired eyes and then put them back on, leaning back in her seat as she looked up at her sister. "There was this little shithead, right? And he was all 'bitches can't take their bourbon' and I was all 'biiitch,I will end you' and I don't even remember what happened with the drinking but they had to call a fucking ambulance to take him after I broke his jaw."
War guffawed as she poured herself a coffee, nodding her head appreciatively at the memory. "What about you?" she asked, shoving another piece of bacon into her mouth. "Having fun?"

Famine snickered. "That'll teach him," she said, stealing a piece of bacon off the plate. "Never let it be said you can't handle your liquor. Though why he was drinking bourbon, god only knows." She pulled a face.
She snorted. "Sure, fun. I guess. Messed around with Saint Patrick. Went to Coney Island with said Saint. Shouted at Satan over the internet. Went to Puerto Rico. Didn't get a tan, but that's to be expected, I think." She shrugged. "Going back to school in the fall. Not that I really need to, but it beats laying around the apartment bored."

"What's wrong with bourbon? I scalped someone with a broken bottle of it during the Civil War. It was pretty great." War wasn't sure if she was annoyed at Famine stealing her bacon, but she figured since she'd cooked it and all she might as well have some. She focused on her coffee instead, taking a long drink from the still scalding liquid.
"You and Patrick should just get a room already," War teased, grabbing for more bacon. "Do the dirty and see if the carpets match the curtains."

She shrugged. "It's just not my favorite. I like vodka. Or rum." She raised an eyebrow. "I bet you did. Definite points for creativity."
Famine choked on her bacon, stealing the mug and taking a swallow to try and stop her coughing. "Ew. Thank you. Now I can't get that image out of my head. Also, his boyfriend is like...five times bigger than me-not that it really matters, but still-and I think he might object. Just a bit."

"I'm real creative," War said proudly. (She wasn't though. War was just almost always wanting to hit someone and ready to use anything within reach.)
"He wouldn't be bigger if you starved him to death." War smirked over her coffee. That could be fun even without the incentive.

The look on Famine's face said, 'Uh-huh.' Out loud she said, "Of course you are, dearie." She smirked.
"True, but if I did that, I'd have all the Saints after me, and I'd have Pestilence on my case, and I'd rather avoid that, if at all possible." She didn't say that the main reason she didn't want to do it was because John was important to Patrick, and hurting John would upset him, and she didn't really want to do that.

"What a waste of superpowers," War lamented at Famine before flicking a piece of bacon at her head. (She would blame the fact that they resided in teenage bodies these days for all acts of immaturity, but to be truthful she'd never been very good with acting any other way.) "'sides, I could kick Pestilence's ass if she gave you trouble."

Famine picked the bacon out of her hair and flicked it back at War. "Maybe so," she said. "But the last thing I need is more guilt trips and passive aggressiveness from George. Plus, John is more intimidating than Patrick."
"You probably could, but I'm willing to bet she'd give you cholera in retaliation," she said with a snicker.

"The kids I go to school with are more intimidating than Patrick," War pointed out, not seeing this as much of as argument. "He's just like a leprechaun."
War made a face at the idea of cholera and drained the last of her coffee before holding it out at Famine for another. "Fine, fine, I wasn't even saying you should really starve him."
