Who: The Red Baron and Natalie
What: Cutesy, coupley things. (2011-02-03)
When: Thursday night
Where: Baron's apartment
Warning: TBD
Things were moving fast, the Baron wasn't sure how much of a grip he really had. Since he and Natalie had officially moved this strange relationship to the next level there was a point where the Baron was wary. Natalie wasn't used to how a good guy could treat her, but he would push that all aside because he adored that girl like crazy. Maybe it was her obsession with him, or his need to feel like young again and not the old man he really was. He may never age on the outside, but inside he was near hitting a hundred.
He'd invited her over for dinner being selfish and wanting her to himself for the night. It wasn't like any other night she came over, except that she was his Natalie tonight.
It was enough to bring him further out of this depression he'd set himself into. Life moved on, things would realign as they should. He still felt guilt, anger and rejection but they would fade in time. Setting out a bottle of wine he set up the dinner on the table. Now it was just waiting for the special guest.

So far Natalie and Conrad was going... well, it seemed to be going okay actually, which made Natalie incredibly paranoid. She kept waiting for Something Bad to happen but as yet it was just like them being friends but with more sex. (A lot more sex, as that was Natalie's way if she was completely honest.)
"Moritz!" Natalie growled at the dog as she came in the door. "Those are new trousers, stop that!" she swatted the beast away and then carried on into the apartment, smiling at Con as she leaned over to kiss him. (Girlfriends kissed their boyfriends in greeting. See, she knew some things. Those were easy.) "Evening, Baron."

He knew she was paranoid, because Natalie didn't feel safe unless her significant other was being abusive. As friends he'd learned enough about her over the years, the kind of relationships she always found herself in. He had always advised her to let someone take care of her for once instead of beating her up with words or even their fist. The last guy to ever do that to her he was ready to kill himself.
Moritz continued to jump until Manfred directed him to the couch where the dog jumped up and laid down with a whine. "Evening, Natalie," he said returning that kiss. "Hungry?"

"Mmm, I could eat," Natalie smiled at him and looked over at the table. "Real food and everything. And here I was going to just do a cigar for dinner." She slipped around him to sit down at the table and didn't even grab for the wine bottle right away.

"I cooked and everything" he said wiping his hands off on a nearby dishtowel. He poured her a glass when she passed by the bottle. If he had any clue Natalie wasn't going to take long eating. These days it seemed they spent more time wrapped up in each other than doing much else, even though the girl was hellbent on getting him to go out more.

"And you skipped the cyanide and arsenic?" Natalie asked innocently, resting her chin delicately on the palm of one of her upturned hands. She took the glass when offered though, and touched it against his in a silent toast.

"You won't know until you eat," he gave her a light smile nodding at her toast. He stared for a long time before sitting back in his seat and initiating that she start. "Ladies first." Smile.

Natalie lifted her fork to attack the meal, pretty sure there wasn't any drugs at all in it. (Actually, the thought of Baron and any sort of drug-related activities was sort of laughable. He was such a Good Boy at heart despite having spent a lot of years in the air telling people to aim for pilots and not engines.) "Really good," she told him as they ate and during the meal she updated him on her flight out to Chicago and her afternoon there. (She didn't mention the engine problems she'd had something that happened more often that pilots would ever admit to and never to passengers. A plane could fly even if a whole engine went so a few issues with readings was very rarely an issue at all, but after what Conrad had just been through she didn't need to say anything that might remind him that Sometimes Planes Just Crash.)
"You're going to fatten me up," Natalie warned teasingly once they'd finished eating. "Trying to make it so no one else will want to hit this?"
