Nate wasn't here to tell her not to. He would never even know.
Lex glanced around, but nobody was paying attention to two drunk girls sitting in the gutter. She crouched over Addy's ankle, carefully laying her hand on it. Well it wasn't broken, just bruised and wrenched, and would ordinarily probably hurt to walk on for a week or two, in Lex's unmedical opinion.
"Look away," she said, flapping a hand at Addy, and then, trying to shield the view with her back, she held her breath and focused. Slowly, like a light powering on, her index fingertip of her right hand began to glow. It was horribly obvious in the dark like this, so she was going to have to be quick, if the world would stop wavering.
Oh, that was herself swaying. Right. With a frown of concentration, she touched her finger to Addy's ankle. A cold feeling washed over Addy's leg, and then it was gone, along with the pain, and Lex let out a heavy breath and put a hand to her temple. That really hadn't helped with the spinny head feeling.
