Pretty much the second Nick and Maria Claus found out that Lucifer had entered their lives again, it had been suggested that the entire family head to Aspen. Especially considering the trouble had all originated with Krampus. It would be good to get out of the city, slow down, and be in a safe place. And likely no place was safer than a ski chalet with Santa Claus looking out for you.
They were flown there on a chartered flight, which Henry would usually bitch about but after being put in a cage by Lucifer, he just wanted to get away as quickly as possible. And the chartered flight allowed them to land in Aspen, less than 24 hours after Lucifer had swept them away to New Jersey for a 'chat'.
They'd been there for a little over a week now, and slowly, Henry felt like he was on a more even keel. The nightmares had returned with a vengeance, but they were less bad every night. And it didn't hurt that his parents were doting on him. After so long, nothing quite lit Henry up like parental affection. And it seemed hearing that Lucifer could have harmed their son again had put them into coddling overdrive. They constantly pushed food at both himself and Iestyn, they hugged them and heaped them with praise. Henry didn't think Nick calling him brave would ever get old. The elves fussed after them as well, making sure they were comfortable, safe, feeling okay. They were all very cared for.
Addy barely ever left Iestyn's side, but Henry didn't mind that. Pretty much only when she was alone with Evie or sleeping, did Henry and Iestyn have time to themselves. It seemed Addy was with Evie when Henry sort of strode into the living room, his feet clad in thick woolen socks despite the July heat. "Mom made me more socks," he announced to Iestyn. "Look at them!" They had little mistletoe patterns knitted into them and he loved them. The fact that she thought to make him something warmed him up more than July sun ever could.
