“You’re talking with your mouth full,” Elijah said, talking with his mouth full. “So it might be both of us!” He did try to slow down though, at least a little. Will was right, the food wasn’t going to walk away. And there was more in the kitchen, Elijah had seen that. And the promise of even more later. “Two meals in a day. My body won’t even know what’s happening.”
Tuck sighed heavily, “fucking been there,” he grumped, but he just shoved a bite of hashbrowns into his mouth to chase the memories away. He also reached out for Will, and rested his free hand on Will’s good shoulder, just for a second.
“You have?” Elijah asked, and then he felt terrible for doing so. “Sorry. Nevermind. I- You don’t have to explain. Hey. You two are really cute together. It’s nice. It’s really nice to see.”
Tuck looked over at Will, and he smiled affectionately. “Thank you, Elijah. That’s incredibly kind of you to say. We try, don’t we, darling?”
