"Lyra's my girl," Hathor said, throwing out a hand so that Lyra would meet her and do the silly dap they'd developed together one drunken Wednesday. "Guess that makes you my boy now by association." She beamed at Avery.
Spotting a clock on the wall, Hathor gave a little pout and said, "I've got to mingle and see some more people, cause I've got a party across town to get to after this one. I'll see you soon though," she promised Lyra and then, to Avery, "and you should should come along some night too, Avery. We'd love that!"
Hathor air-kissed towards them both and then slipped away into the crowd, now on the look out for Sameth wherever he might be tonight.
