Viviane's hugs were actually divine, and if she and Avery were still playing Who's The Goddess then she woulda said Viv was the goddess of hugs. It wasn't just the couple of drinks (three?) or her incredible mood, though those things sure added to it, it was simply that being hugged by this woman made everything feel right in the world. And the compliments – Lyra felt basked in sunlight, pulled by the urge to give as good as she got. "Oh my god, no you, you look incredible, wow, wowza." She needed to take a deep breath, and it turned out to be a breath filled with the heady scent of whatever Viv was wearing – something Lyra couldn't place, but heady all the same.
She turned toward Avery with bright eyes, and reached out to touch his chest. "V, this is Avery– see, he's real. Aves, V's been at trapeze from the beginning, she basically like, convinced me to stay. She's—" Lyra couldn't find the right words, so instead; a little squeal, bouncing on the balls of her feet, thrilled they were finally meeting.
