Avery smiled back, letting the memory of his family wash away as he kissed his wife. "Just here?" he murmured back, his hand lifting to brush his fingertips over the edge of her jaw. "Orrr..." His suggestion was hardly subtle either, and neither was his movement to rise out of his chair and bundle Lyra back onto the bed to kiss her much more thoroughly. He did love her, and he couldn't wait to show the world that they were all wrong about them not lasting. They would last for as long as it took. Maybe forever? Or something.
