Christmas with the Clauses this year was easier than the previous year, perhaps because Iestyn had been the year before, and because he'd seen a lot of them at the wedding, and he felt more comfortable around them. The addition of Krampus into the mix, though, certainly made some people more on edge. Donna either left the room or sat very close to her mother whenever he was around, watching him distrustfully. Frank wasn't short of a few scathing jokes at his expense. Nick had pulled Krampus aside as soon as he arrived, putting the fear of Claus in him if he so much as did a single thing inappropriate.
Except then, it started snowing. And snowing. Everyone was stuck inside, nobody could escape, and they all just had to put their best face on and deal with it.
Iestyn looked sideways at Henry and pulled a face. "I honestly have no idea," he replied, looking at the box in trepidation. It could be anything in there. "A glitter bomb, maybe?"
