"He'll assume I took it, probably," Lachlan said with a shrug. "And he won't care. He might not even notice. The flashy stuff is just kind of there. He doesn't care about any of it. He's not like that, he's- Well I thought he was loyal, but I guess not."
Tuck just gave Will a slight nod, and then turned back to Lachlan. "Are you sure, Lachlan? I wouldn't want to have him after you or anything. Are you sure he wouldn't have you arrested?"
"He's a drug," Lachlan shook his head, "hates the cops. Anyway I kind of want him to think I took it, because fuck him. How- How long have you been seeing him?" he asked Tuck.
"A few months," Tuck answered, being completely honest about it. "I'm sorry."
"No, it's- Honestly, it's not your fault. He should have known better, but you've never been anything but kind to me, and you didn't know. I'm not mad at you, Fr- Tuck."
