WHO: Robin Hood, Will Stutely, Clio, Maybe Ella (NPC) WHEN: Backdated to August 27th, after this WHERE: Their brownstone WHAT: Sheriff's on the loose again oh hey nice baby WARNINGS: TBA?
Doing the world's least awesome tour informing the Merry Men the Sheriff of Nottingham was free was not how Robin had wanted to spend his Saturday night. He hadn't been around much the last time the sheriff had been terrorising his men, though. He had let shit slide because he had let jealousy get in the way, and he owed it to his family now to tell them this shitty news in person. Watching the faces of the people he loved so well, and had for so many years, crumble into despair was eating at his soul, but he had to keep going.
Sometimes being the leader was pretty shitty.
Seeing Will Stutely and Clio was his penultimate stop, before he went to Much and Alan's to inform them. He knocked on the door and waited, hoping that he wasn't about to crash into some perfect picture of domestic bliss and just piss all over it. Clio opened the door, tiny Hazel in her arms, and she grinned. "Oh, Robin!" she said, delighted, and Robin felt his gut twist because she looked so happy. Dammit.
"Hi, Clio. Stutely here?"
"Yes, yes come in!" she waved him in quickly. "Will!" she called out, "it's Robin! Here," she said, turning to Robin as she closed the door behind them, "do you want to hold your niece?"
"Oh-" Robin felt like saying 'no, I need to deliver a death blow to your cosy night in so maybe not' was a but fucking rude, so he nodded mutely. Honestly? Holding darling Hazel sounded really nice. He could just cling for a moment, and let himself get lost in her tiny face. So he nodded like an idiot, and when Hazel was passed to him, he stayed mute, gazing at her in awe. She was already so much bigger than when he had seen her last. And so perfect.
