Iestyn was barely able to focus on anything for the last six days exactly. Despite the messages his father had passed along, he was feeling the loss of Addy's communication keenly. He checked his phone for messages frequently, even though he knew nothing was coming through.
After a couple of days, he'd gone back to rehearsals just for something to do instead of sitting around staring blankly at his phone, but he'd found it hard to keep up, and lost patience very quickly. There were too many thoughts and feelings swirling around in his mind, and even therapy couldn't make him feel much better, not until he'd seen Addy again properly for himself.
Finally they were allowed to go. The morning could not have crawled any slower. Iestyn was showered and ready long before he needed to be, so he absently ate welsh cakes and jiggled his leg as he waited for Henry.
"No, not me." Shoes? Why would someone have ordered shoes for him? Iestyn frowned and took the box. It sure rattled like there were shoes in it. Finding scissors, he cut the bag open and tipped out the contents, then peeked inside.
"What... the... actual..." Iestyn stared at the hideous, tacky footwear, and didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Goddamn Aderyn!
