If this was one of those types of shows, right about now would be when Kaden would bang the door open and ruin the big moment, making them jolt apart and maintain the status quo. Marcie was even half expecting that to happen, even as she noticed the lean in that wasn't quite all the way leaning in, her gaze flicking to his lips as he spoke.
"Cool," she said softly, teasing him just a little bit, and (-there were no ghosts lamenting betrayal, there was no little brother busting in, it was all fine-) she took a breath and leaned in to touch her lips lightly to his.
