"Excuse you, I threw him across the river!" Tuck laughed as they walked into the parsonage. Yes, this was better. He was still confused as to what exactly was going on, but the more the kids asked, the more sure he was that this wasn't some trap.
"Here now, let me get a look at you," he said gently. He led them into the lounge room and sat down, looking them over. "What are your names?"
"I'm Brook!" Brook said brightly, "but they call me Bear! Oh, Ash look! The tapestry!" She pointed at the tapestry that hung over Tuck's sofa on the wall behind it. "Mama told us all about it! Oh it's so beautiful!"
That gave Tuck pause. "W-wait, what?" he asked again.
