"Good for them," Cathal said cheerfully. Seemed like in a place like New York you had to be at least something of an opportunist. Cathal maybe would never to work harder on that.
They were standing in front of one of the carts now and he turned to Rosario and asked, "can I buy you a coffee?"
Hmmm, was that taking this into the territory of a date? Cathal still didn't know if he was sort of aiming for a date, but he had brought her pastry and now a coffee. (The pastry wasn't intentional! Those worshippers had thrown him off his rhythm! He'd needed to buy something sweet to get back on track!)
But... coffee and a museum, that wouldn't be a bad first date.
