Michael gave Marian a little nod, acknowledging that he understood. "I will see you all soon. Take care, my friends." And then the sound of wings announced his disappearance.
Tuck blinked as Michael literally faded away, and he turned to Marian to offer her a firm smile. They could do this. They could take care of their Robin. He helped Marian shift Robin into the car, and then he took his place in the front seat, glad to find the keys in the ignition.
Robin leaned heavily against Marian the second she joined him in the backseat. Even with as much pain as he was in, the drive lulled him to sleep, and he didn't wake until Tuck pulled up to the Fox and switched the car off.
Robin woke suddenly, his one good eye blown wide, sure there was another attack coming. He grunted and tried to over his head while hiding against Marian as much as he could.
