"Something might," he said, as gently as possible. He wasn't under any impression that the world on the other side of the gate was a safe one, and he held the same fears for his children, but those were fears he was ready to face. She wasn't, not quite, so he was gonna do what he could to walk with her down that brand new path. "But it's time, mama bear, they need to grow," he gave her another squeeze, reminding her of the things they'd already spoken about. "And hey, maybe the world out there needs to meet them, too."
